Rex Rizaldo, APRN, CNP, provides care with Springfield Clinic Critical Care Medicine.

He completed his Master of Science in Nursing at the Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College in St. Louis. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Western Mindanao State University in Zamboanga City, Philippines. He has more than seventeen years of nursing experience in both the Philippines and the United States.

"My interest in science and medicine as well as encouragement from my parents led me to a career in nursing," says Rex. "Working in a hospital ICU helped me realize my desire to become a critical care medicine nurse practitioner."

Rex is excited to return to the Springfield community due to its close knit community feel. 

"My passion is getting to utilize different disciplines of health care, particularly the holistic approach of nursing, to help critically ill patients," he says.

In his free time, Rex enjoys assembling furniture for his new home and doing yard work in the spring and summer.
