About This Provider

Zachary Barnett, PA-C, provides care with the Orthopedics team. He currently sees patients at Springfield Clinic 1st - 800 Building, HSHS St. John’s Pavilion and Springfield Clinic Taylorville. He collaborates with Daniel Rossi, MD.

“Both of my parents work in the medical field, so I was heavily influenced by getting to witness them in their work environments,” says Zachary. “My influence and driving force to choose orthopedics stems from my exposure to orthopedic surgeons and orthopedic residents growing up as a kid and adolescent. These were individuals that I not only looked up to, but they inspired me to work in orthopedics and helped guide me on my path to the career I have today.”

Being from Rochester, Ill, Zachary knew he would always return to central Illinois. He chose to come to Springfield Clinic because of the patient-centered care it provides and the impact Springfield Clinic has on the community and its patients.

“It is truly heartwarming to care for and provide treatment to patients who struggle with acute as well as chronic pain from different hip and knee issues,” Zachary says. “Seeing firsthand the positive improvements to a patient’s quality of life is the driving force in my career.”

Zachary earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Ky.

In his free time, Zachary and his wife enjoy boating, waterskiing and snowboarding. On the weekends, he can be found assisting with cattle on his father-in-law’s farm.
