About This Provider

Rachel Ramiro, APRN, CNP, provides care with the Springfield Clinic Orthopedic team with a focus on orthopedic surgery.

Rachel earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. John’s School of Nursing in Springfield, Ill., and her Master of Science in Nursing Education from Grand Canyon University. She later earned a post-master’s certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from South University in Savannah, Ga.

From a young age, Rachel knew she wanted a career that allowed her to help others. Coming from a family of nurses, health care felt like a natural path. She consistently found herself most engaged with orthopedic cases that ultimately led her to pursue a position in orthopedic surgery - “My long-time area of interest and passion,” Rachel says.

Rachel is passionate about building meaningful, collaborative relationships with her patients. She believes every individual deserves to feel heard, respected and actively involved in decisions about their care. “My goal is to ensure patients fully understand their condition and feel confident in the treatment plan we create together,” she says.

After her husband’s retirement from the Army, Rachel and her family returned to central Illinois to be closer to loved ones. Springfield Clinic stood out to her for its strong reputation for excellence in patient care. “Joining the Orthopedic Surgery team felt like a natural fit,” she says. “I’m excited to contribute to a group that is both innovative and deeply committed to the community it serves.”

Although new to the area, Rachel looks forward to volunteering in causes that support youth athletics, wellness education and the local veteran community.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time outdoors. Hiking is one of her favorite ways to recharge and explore new places, and she loves traveling both locally and abroad. Staying active is important to her, whether through strength training, yoga or long walks with her family. “These activities help me maintain balance and show up as my best self for my patients and family,” she says.
