Kathleen Kay, MD, provides care with the Springfield Clinic's Orthopedics Department and see patients at Springfield Clinic 1st - 800 Building.
Dr. Kay earned her medical degree and completed her residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She completed a foot and ankle fellowship at Washington University Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Dr. Kay's inspiration to pursue a career in medicine came from her father who serves as an ophthalmologist in Effingham. Her desire to become an orthopedic surgeon grew out of her desire to help patients with mobility issues.
Dr. Kay offers comprehensive foot and ankle care for her patients, ranging from bunion and hammer toe treatment to total ankle reconstruction.
In her free time, Dr. Kay enjoys traveling and various water sports, including kayaking and paddle boarding. She also enjoys cooking and hanging out with friends.
