As a board certified orthopedic trauma surgeon, Dr. Gardner provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment with special interest in fractures, including the pelvis and acetabulum, as well as treatment of nonunions, malunions, fragility fractures and periprosthetic fractures.

Following his medical education at SIU School of Medicine, Dr. Gardner completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University Of Kansas School Of Medicine in Wichita. His fellowship orthopedic trauma surgery training was completed at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

Dr. Gardner is now treating pelvic fragility fractures with a new device called the CurvaFix® IM Implant, which was cleared for use by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) in 2019. The CurvaFix is the first implant specifically designed for use in the curved bones of the pelvis.
