Kacie Whalen, APRN, DNP, CNP, provides care with Springfield Clinic Cancer Center and collaborates with Preet Paul Singh, MD.

Kacie earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Maryville University in St. Louis, Mo. and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Ill. She has more than six years of nursing experience prior to joining Springfield Clinic.

Beginning her career in an inpatient oncology setting, Kacie felt a special calling to continue in that specialty at Springfield Clinic. "I am excited to get back into the oncology field and provide patients and their families with dedicated and compassionate care," she says.

Kacie particularly appreciates the bond she gets to have with her oncology patients. "Oncology provides a unique blend of intellectual challenge, emotional fulfillment and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients," she says.

In her free time, Kacie enjoys spending time with her family, particularly her boyfriend and their three dogs, Hank, Milo and Cooper. She also enjoys reading.
