Tonya Bowrey, MHA, OTR/L, provides care with the Springfield Clinic Rehabilitation Services team and sees patients at Springfield Clinic 1st - 800 Building.
Tonya earned her Master of Science in Healthcare Administration and Management degree from Purdue University Global in Indianapolis and her Bachelor of Science degree in occupational therapy from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She has more than 30 years of experience in occupational therapy, community education and rehabilitation administration.
Tonya's passion for helping people and science started in junior high and just grew from there. "Occupational therapy allows me to use my passions to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals," she says
In her practice, Tonya is focused on ensuring a patient understands how their work leads to achieving their goals. "It has to make sense for them for it to carry over," she says. "If the patient isn't invested, they won't come back or achieve those positive outcomes."
In her free time, Tonya enjoys improving her home and spending time with her golden retriever, Indiana, and her poodle, Augi.
