Taylor Werries, APRN, DNP CNP, provides care with Springfield Clinic's Critical Care Medicine and is based at Springfield Memorial Hospital and HSHS St. John's Hospital.

"In high school, I had a sports injury that resulted in surgery. The nurses were so kind and caring, and I knew my recovery was their priority," Taylor says. "That is when I really decided I wanted to pursue a career in health care."

Taylor earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Western Illinois University in Macomb. Prior to joining Springfield Clinic, she served as a registered nurse at Springfield Memorial Hospital for six years.

"I am most passionate about developing a meaningful rapport with my patients and their families," Taylor says. "I am dedicated to continuously learning and striving to provide the highest quality patient care." 

In her free time, Taylor enjoys spending time with her family and friends, boating and tending to her house plants.
