Ryan Scribner, MD, provides care with the Springfield Clinic’s Radiologist Services Department.

Dr. Scribner received his medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. He then completed his residency in diagnostic radiology and a dual certification fellowship in nuclear medicine and musculoskeletal radiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

Dr. Scribner’s path to medicine began with a lifelong interest in science. After shadowing physicians in high school and college, he discovered that a career in medicine would allow him to combine his passion for science with helping others. His interest in technology’s role in patient care ultimately drew him to radiology, where he enjoys supporting patients across all areas of medicine. “I think radiology is one of the most important fields of medicine, as nearly every patient has imaging studies at some point in their lives,” he says. He is excited about the continued advancement of imaging technology and its growing impact on diagnosing and guiding patient care.

Originally from central Illinois, Dr. Scribner and his wife were both raised in the region and were eager to return home to be closer to family while raising their two sons. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, sons and mini goldendoodle, Piper. He also enjoys traveling and staying active through regular workouts.
