Lechi Nkwocha, APRN, DNP, CNP, provides care with the Springfield Clinic Hospital Medicine team and sees patients at both Springfield Memorial Hospital and HSHS St. John's Hospital.

Lechi earned both her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. She has more than six years of nursing experience throughout central Illinois.

"I am particularly passionate about the opportunity to work with underserved communities," says Lechi. "I want to help ensure equity in the health care services provided throughout this community."

Lechi is an advocate for empowering young children. She is particularly involved with Girls on the Run, an evidence-based program that inspires girls to build confidence, kindness and decision-making skills. She is always looking for more ways to volunteer and serve the central Illinois community.

In her free time, Lechi enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, meeting new people and cooking.
