Lauren Fifer, APRN, CNP, provides care with the Springfield Clinic Effingham team. She collaborators with Dr. Jason McAllaster in General Surgery and Dr. Tina Rozene in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics.

Lauren earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minn., and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville. Prior to joining Springfield Clinic, Lauren served as an RN at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Lauren always had a desire to help people, which led her to a career in health care. "I'm most passionate about helping patients feel supported and confident in their health," she says. "As a mom, I have a deep appreciation for the value of a provider who truly listens, makes patients feel heard and takes the time to build that trust."

Born and raised in central Illinois, Lauren is happy to provide care and give back to the community that shaped her. "Practicing in central Illinois allows me to serve a close-knit community, build lasting relationships and make a meaningful impact," she says.

In her free time, Lauren enjoys spending time with family, trying new recipes and traveling.
