    What is a Clinical Support Assistant?

    Becoming a Clinical Support Assistant (CSA) provides the opportunity to pursue a clinical career with a developmental roadmap, all-inclusive training and expenses covered to achieve your goals.

    CSAs play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care. In this position, you will assist providers and clinical staff during patient visits while supporting both direct and indirect patient care activities. You will also prepare exam rooms and patients for visits and help ensure efficient clinic operations and smooth patient flow.

    Within one year of hire, CSAs will earn their Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.

    This program is designed for candidates who: 

    • Hold an active CNA certification

    • Are currently working in a CNA role

    • Are looking to expand their clinical skills and advance their career

    Training & Development

    Our program provides a structured, supportive training experience to set you up for success. 

    Training and support includes

    • 1-week onboarding program  

    • 2 days of hands-on training before entering the clinic  

    • Training and observation within a clinical department  

    • Placement into a clinical department after training completion  

    • Monthly classes to prepare for the CMA exam  

    • Ongoing educational support and resources  

    • Guidance throughout the certification process  

    • Full coverage of the CMA exam cost*

    *This program includes a one-year service commitment following certification. Employees must remain with Springfield Clinic for one (1) year after obtaining CMA certification. A reimbursement obligation will apply if this commitment is not fulfilled.

    Important bootcamp dates

    • Application Deadline: May 22, 2026  

    • Program Start Date: June 15, 2026
