Candice White, APRN, CNP, provides care for Springfield Clinic as a nurse practitioner on the Critical Care Medicine team.

"I chose critical care medicine early on because I love the challenge and gratification that comes with the unique problem solving each person needs," Candice says. "I am most passionate about cardiac critical care, post circulatory arrest and mechanical circulatory support like ECMO."

Candice grew up on a farm in central Illinois. She chose Springfield Clinic because of our established reputation for great medical professionals and room for continued career growth.

Candice completed both her graduate and undergraduate degrees at OSF St. Francis Medical Center College of Nursing in Peoria, Ill. She has more than six years of experience and, prior to joining Springfield Clinic, served as an APRN at Unity Point Health Methodist in Peoria, Ill.

In her free time, Candice enjoys hiking, boating and spending time with her family. Additionally, she also is a member of the Midwest chapter for the Society of Critical Care Medicine. She has done several community outreach educational presentations for nursing and EMS and will continue to do so in the Springfield community.
