About This Provider

Bradley Stephens, MD, MPH, provides care with the Springfield Clinic’s Neurosurgery Department.

“One of the things that was very important in my development and deciding on a career was helping others," Dr. Stephens says. "All around me I could see an evidence of need particularly in my own family as well as the communities I was a part of. I knew that that made health care a career lane I wanted to pursue.”

Dr. Stephens' scope of practice involves cranial, spinal and peripheral nerve care. He offers surgical and non-surgical services to patients who have either had recent trauma or suffer from chronic pain syndromes.

“I am focused on providing patient-oriented care. No patient receives a cookie cutter treatment plan from me. Their care plan is unique and individualized to their needs after meeting with them, examining them and evaluating their options with them," he says.

Dr. Stephens earned his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his neurological surgery residency and internship at Washington University School of Medicine at St. Louis, Mo. While completing his residency, Dr. Stephens also earned his Master of Public Health degree at Washington University.

Prior to joining Springfield Clinic, Dr. Stephens served as a physician in the U.S. Army for four years. He also served as a physician at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, Mo.

In his free time, Dr. Stephens loves spending time with his wife, daughter and son watching movies and attending live music events with his wife. He has a passion for classic cars, owning four himself.
