Dr. Pacheco's practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of all aspects of the colon, rectum and anus. He has a special interest in laparoscopic/minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of colon and rectal cancer and for the treatment of benign conditions of the colon such as diverticulitis. He also has a special interest in TAMIS (transanal minimally invasive surgery) and taTME (transanal total mesorectal excision). Benign anorectal conditions that Dr. Pacheco treats frequently include the surgical and nonsurgical management of internal and external hemorrhoids, anal fissures, anorectal abscesses and fistulas, fecal incontinence and rectal prolapse. Anal cancer/anogenital warts/AIN I-III/SLIL/HSIL are a common part of his practice. Dr. Pacheco regularly performs screening colonoscopy and often is referred patients for excision of large polyps using dual channel colonoscopy and submucosal resection of a polyp. When surgery is required, he offers surgical treatment in inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.)
