Occupational Medical Services
Treatment of Worker Injury - MOHA also functions to treat all
common, non-life-threatening injuries that occur on the job, including
suturing, removal of sutures and removal of foreign bodies.
Testing/Functional Capacity Evaluations - Post job offer testing
to determine if an employee is physically fit for job. Also performed
in worker's compensation cases to determine if injured employee
is fit to go back to original position.
Chronic Pain Management - Involves educating and counseling injured
employees, providing multidisciplinary guidance on how best to
cope with the injury and associated pain.
Drug Testing/Breath Alcohol Testing - Typically performed for
post job offer, DOT physicals, fitness for duty, post accident
and general for-cause testing. Point of service drug testing and
breath alcohol testing is also available and gives immediate result,
though specimens are generally sent to a NIDA approved lab for
confirmation.
Environmental Exposure Exams - Testing or evaluation done for
employees complaining about problems concerning workplace environmental
exposure(s). This includes Medical Surveillance Exams.
Executive Health Programs - Comprehensive screening physical normally
available for executive level employees on an annual basis.
DOT Exams - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Class Flight Physicals and Department
of Transportation physical exams to ensure capability to perform
specific jobs.
Fitness Testing - Structured, routine assessment followed by blood
pressure and pulse check to test and benchmark employee physical
stamina.
Fitness-For-Duty Exams - Evaluation available to determine an
employee's ability to work concerning significant illness or personal
injury. Completed at the request of the company and sometimes involves
drug and/or alcohol dependency and compliance with a prescribed
rehabilitation plan. Sometimes, this may include determination
if an employee is impaired secondary to intoxication.
Foreign Traveler's Clinic - Required for those individuals traveling
overseas as a requirement to pass customs or as a precautionary
measure.
Health Screening - Blood pressure and pulse checks, with specific
counseling regarding lifestyle and longevity optimization.
Hearing Conservation - Audiograms are performed in a sound proof
booth with results printed, shared and interpreted with employees.
Consultation with Audiologist, if deemed necessary. Compliance
with hearing conservation and noise exposure surveys.
