How are salaries and pay grades evaluated?
Each fall, the Clinic performs a market analysis of every position
and adjusts individual salaries and pay grades if necessary.
These market adjustments normally occur in late December or
early January.
When am I evaluated and what happens as a result?
During your first year of employment, you will receive a performance
review six months after your initial hire date, and on your first
year's anniversary date. Thereafter, you will receive a performance
review each year on your anniversary date. You will receive a
merit increase that is reflective of your performance and your
hourly rate will be adjusted as such.
What happens if I am at or near the maximum of my pay grade?
If you have reached the top of your pay grade, your annual performance
increase will result in a bonus that will be on your next paycheck
as a one-time lump sum compensation that is based on calculating
essentially half of your performance rating times the number
of both regular and overtime hours that you worked in the previous
year.
How and when do I get paid?
Springfield Clinic employees and physicians receive their compensation
through direct deposit. Employees are paid bi-weekly, and usually
have access to their paychecks by Friday, depending on when their
particular bank posts the funds to their checking or savings
account. Our pay week runs Thursday through the following Wednesday. |
