In more serious or acute cases, Prompt Care providers make certain patients receive the appropriate care and arrange for transport to a Springfield hospital or follow up with the patient's regular doctor.

Convenient Services
Lab and Radiology services are available at both Prompt Care locations during hours of operation. These services allow our staff to treat patient conditions quickly and provide relief sooner in most cases.
- Lab - Most lab results come back quickly and are available before the patient visit is complete. The information can then be used to determine the best treatment options for the patient.
- Radiology - Prompt Care uses digital radiology and the results are practically immediate for physician review. The Prompt Care provider will review the x-ray and then it is formally reviewed by a Springfield Clinic radiologist the same or the next day.
- Specialized radiology services such as CT scans, MRIs, and Ultrasounds are available during standard business hours (8am-5pm, M-F) at Prompt Care Main. If these services are required in an emergency situation, patients will receive those services at one of the hospitals.
