Meet Sofia, a beautiful four year old little girl from Michigan. While in Springfield she cut her lip and would have spent hours in the emergency room. Her mother had been introduced to Springfield Clinic by a friend. Realizing the injury for Sofia could leave a scar on her face, Sofia's mom called her friend asking if Springfield Clinic had a specialist who would help. The friend made one phone call. That call and the caring response of Dr. Beth Bergman kept Sofia out of the emergency room, allowed her to bee seen in less than an hour for the injury, at our Center for Plastics facility. Sofia asked Dr. Bergman, "Will it hurt?" Dr. Bergman told her it would hurt a little but everyone counted to five (in Spanish), and a total of seven stitches later, Sofia was good as new. Sofia and her mom stayed an additional five days in Springfield so Dr. Bergman could remove the stitches. Sofia even received a Hannah Montana locket to keep her stitches safe so she could show them to her dad when she got home.

After my weight loss, I felt great, but looking in the mirror was disappointing. Many parts of my body actually looked worse after the weight loss and not better. You did my breast lift, tummy tuck arm lift and inner thigh lift.

Dear Dr. Bergman,
Last year on Aug. 6, 2008, you reduced my large, pendulous breasts. As a result, you increased my physical and emotional well-being!
No more large t-shirts to disguise my huge chest. Every morning I wake up in awe with a "normal" chest. For the first time, I have purchased cute, stylish blouses and shirts!
During my annual exam, my doctor was so impressed when he saw my reduction. He commented that it was the best he had ever seen, raving about such minimal scars!
With all this said, I just want to thank you form the bottom of my heart for performing your work of art!!
