Pediatrics Services

The physicians and staff in Springfield Clinic's Pediatrics department provide quality care to the pediatric population of central Illinois. Our services for newborns through young adults include, but are not limited to:

  • Well baby & child evaluation

Well baby and routine well child visits are a significant component of overall care to each child. Age appropriate education and guidance is emphasized to assist parents as your child grows.
  • Sports & school physicals, preventative care

Daycares, preschools, and schools require routine updates for admission and sports participation. We encourage parents to schedule annual, sports physicals and school (K, 6th, 9th) physicals early as possible during the always busy back-to-school timeframe.
  • Acute childhood & adolescent illnesses and injuries

Pediatric outpatient care is provided for acute illnesses (like ear infections, pneumonia, rashes) and minor injuries.
  • Immunizations

Immunizations are an integral part of maintaining optimal health for children. Vaccines have reduced, and in some cases eliminated, many diseases that killed or disabled people just generations before. Your pediatrician will give up-to-date and medically reliable information to parents and patients and follow current guidelines for optimal vaccination administration.
  • Management of chronic childhood & adolescent illnesses

Physicians offer long-term management for children from birth through adolescence with chronic illnesses by providing referrals that are arranged for subspecialty consultations and other care coordinated through specialists, schools and community services.
  • Behavioral & learning disorders

Initial evaluations, behavioral specialty referrals and long term management of behavioral and psychiatric learning disorders are provided in a supportive setting. Our pediatric staff team up with patients, families, specialists and teachers to achieve success at home, school and socially.
