The staff at Springfield Clinic's Optical Centre is dedicated to making your experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The Optical Centre opticians strive to provide our patients with the education they need to make an informed decision on what products are best for them. The opticians have more than 100 years of combined experience, as many of our patients return from year to year requesting their favorite optician!
Our Opticians:
Robin - Robin serves as the Optical Assistant Operations Manager, and has over 20 years of experience in eye care including ophthalmology, ocular photography and optometry. She enjoys working with patients, and being able to assist them in discovering “the perfect fit.” She loves helping people express themselves through their eyewear.
Brandie - Brandie has provided medical and optical services to patients for 20 years, both as an optician and a medical assistant. She has been with Springfield Clinic since 1995. She enjoys working with patients on all their eye care needs, including fittings, repairs and adjustments.
Becky - Becky has been in the optical industry for fourteen years. Starting out as a teenager from St. Louis, Becky thought an optician position would be something new, different, and exciting, not yet expecting it to turn into a career. Over the years, she has honed her skills at pre-testing patients, doing frame repairs and adjustments, coordinating various insurances and being an eyewear consultant. Becky enjoys working with her patients, and has a great philosophy about her work: “I feel that there is nothing more rewarding than helping someone see the world more clearly and in a whole new way.”
Bill - Bill’s optical career began in 1988, when, in just three years, he worked his way from “rookie” to an Assistant Lab Manager. Over the years he sharpened his optical and managerial skills, leading his previous optical businesses to multiple awards and accolades. He has been with Springfield Clinic since 2008, and not just as an optician; Bill helped create the computer program we use in both of our optical centers.
Eva - Eva has been employed in the optical services field since 1998, starting as a Lab Technician. After her natural ease working with patients was recognized, she was encouraged to pursue certification from the American Board of Opticians. She has been a board certified optician since 2004, continuing her optical education over the past 7 years. She has been with Springfield Clinic since 2007, and loves working with patients.
Kathy - Kathy has been in the optical field for over 30 years. She started with Springfield Clinic in 1990, and became board certified by the American Board of Opticianry shortly thereafter. She enjoys working with patients and medical staff alike, and is happy to assist her patients in finding eyewear that fits, looks good and changes their outlook.
Kenyon - Kenyon began his optical career in 1984 when he was a junior in high school. While working in the fabrication of eyeglasses and later as a dispensing optician, Kenyon obatained his ABO certification. He's been with Springfield Clinic since 1990, and feels fortunate to work in a field so beneficial to the patients.
