Will a Doctor or a Mid-level provider conduct my skin exam? (submitted 10-11-2011)
What is the best cleanser for facial skin? (submitted 03-30-2010)
The answer to this question depends on the individual’s needs. There is no “best” answer because the appropriate facial cleanser for an individual depends upon his or her skin type. If your skin is acne-prone, a cleanser that contains salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide would be a good choice. Some examples include Neutrogena Acne Wash and Clean and Clear by Johnson & Johnson. If you have sensitive skin or very dry skin, a formulation which provides gentle cleansing along with a moisturizing component, such as CeraVe or Cetaphil Facial Cleanser might be an appropriate choice. Using a washcloth or your fingertips is effective. What can I do for the redness regarding my rosacea? (submitted 03-25-2010)
Above all you want to avoid those exposures that make you red, for example, wine, spicy foods, and hot beverages. We also recommend a daily facial moisterizer with sunscreen in it with an spf 15 or higher. A green mat makeup can also help hide the redness under your regular foundation. These are available in the drug store or more expensive lines at department stores. Various lasers that are available in our office also can reverse some of this redness. These are considered cosmetic procedures though. I have been having outbreaks of red itchy patches for over four weeks now. I have been taking Benadryl every four hrs. I went to my family physician last week and he gave me a shot along with six days of medication. I am still have problems every day and I have finished taking the medicine. What can I do? (submitted 03-12-2012)
I have a few lumps on the inside of both of my knees. It started with just a few on one leg and now I have more on both legs. They have a slight tenderness but other than that they do not hurt. Is this something I should see a dermatologist about or my general physician? They are slightly red and raised but hardly noticable to the eye I can mainly just feel it when i touch it. cost of laser hair removal (submitted 02-16-2011)
Hello, I am a college student and I have been trying to find a dermatology clinic I could go to which I can get my keloid growths treated.
Does this clinic treat such scars?
And how much would that cost? (submitted 02-07-2012)
