- During liquid nitrogen treatment, a burning discomfort is usually felt. The stinging sensation may continue for 15 minutes or more following treatment.
- Redness, swelling, and possible blistering will occur at the treatment sites.
- Keep the areas clean with soap and water daily. Take care of your skin as you normally do with moisturizers, makeup, etc.
- If a blister occurs and is bothersome, you may use a sterilized needle to drain it, but do not unroof the blister.
- A scab will form and peel off in about 1-2 weeks. The underlying skin may be red, white, or brown. This generally fades with time but be aware that there may be some patients that experience chronic pigmentary changes at the treatment site.
- If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call the office.
