About SC Research Center

The mission of the Clinical Research Department and the Research Committee is to provide Springfield Clinic patients with access to cutting edge treatments in a manner which protects human subject safety, in addition to providing qualify data to assess the risks and benefits of the specific agent or procedure under study. Toward that end we are committed to the following core values:

  • Beneficence – Risk is minimized and proportional to anticipated benefit
  • Justice – Benefits and burdens are distributed fairly among different groups
  • Respect of Persons - Maintenance of privacy and confidentiality as well as full informed consent
  • Excellence and accuracy in subject selection and data collection
