Welcome to Ambulatory Surgery Center

Springfield Clinic's Ambulatory Surgery & Endoscopy Center (ASC / EC) is a facility where physicians and surgeons perform procedures that do not require hospital admission. The ASC / EC provides a more private, convenient and cost-effective alternative to a hospital environment. New procedures and fast-acting anesthetics speed recovery time and expedite your return to home, work and other activities.

As the first free-standing facility in Springfield associated with a medical clinic, Springfield Clinic's Ambulatory Surgery & Endoscopy Center is committed to being the premier provider of outpatient surgeries and procedures in Central Illinois.

The ASC / EC is located on the 2nd floor of Springfield Clinic's Main Campus - East Building. The facility consists of five operating rooms and four endoscopy procedure rooms, with an estimated total of 15,000 procedures performed annually. The Center is also accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).

Patients who elect to have surgery at the Ambulatory Surgery Center arrive on the day of the procedure, have the surgery in a fully equipped operating room, and recover under the care of the nursing staff, all without hospital admission. From pediatric patients to the elderly, both the clients and their families benefit from the comfortable environment of the ASC / EC.

Our patients can expect savings of up to 20 to 50 percent compared to the same procedure performed at a local hospital, significantly reducing the out-of-pocket expense. Springfield Clinic Ambulatory Surgery Center has more to offer than just savings. Combined with our welcoming environment, caring health professionals, and latest in equipment and surgical techniques, we provide the value that you expect but rarely find in health care today.
