As have many other Springfield Clinic satellites, Lincoln Health Care Specialists joined the group as part of a merger in October of 1996. Since that time, the number of specialties offered, the number of providers, as well as the number of patients served has grown significantly.
The all-new Springfield Clinic Lincoln opened its doors in March of 2011.The physician office building is adjacent to Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. It hosts nearly half of the Springfield-based specialists seeing patients in Lincoln as part of the Specialty Outreach Program.
