Treadmill Stress Test

Minimize

This is a stress/exercise test that will help your physician find out how well your heart handles work.  As your body works harder during the test, it requires more fuel and your heart has to pump more blood.  The test can show if there is a lack of blood supply through the arteries that go to the heart.  Stats monitored during a stress test include: heart rate, breathing, blood pressure, EKG and level of tiredness/exhaustion.  There is no more risk that walking/jogging (depending on fitness level) up a hill.  Physicians and medical professionals are on hand during every stress test to monitor patients.
