Credit Terms

Payments and Credit Term Options
Payment in full is expected by the “Due Date” indicated on the statement. The figure shown in the “Amount Due” box on the billing statement is expected at the time of payment. If you are unable to pay the full amount, please contact a Customer Service Representative to discuss financial arrangements for you.

Payments and Your Health Insurance
Springfield Clinic is contracted with several major insurance payers and networks. Receiving medical care from a contracted (in-network) provider ensures that your claims are paid by the insurance payer at the highest possible reimbursement levels with less of the overall cost passed on to the patient. However, Springfield Clinic will provide services to patients who have non-contracted insurances as well. The patient will be responsible for charges not paid by their insurance carrier. While we can generally answer questions regarding the contracted status of major insurance payers (such as Blue Cross, Health Alliance, Cigna, etc.), the quantity and variations among smaller plans make it impossible for Clinic medical office staff to know if a particular insurance is contracted or not. Ultimately, it is the patient’s responsibility to verify the network status of Springfield Clinic providers with their insurance carrier.

Payments and Non-contracted or No Health Insurance
Patients who present for medical services and do not have health insurance will be required to make a pre-service payment of $95.00 prior to being seen. Patients without insurance coverage may be eligible for a discount on their Springfield Clinic charges.

Similarly, patients who present for medical services at any Prompt Care location and have non-contracted insurance will be required to make a pre-service payment of $95.00 prior to being seen. Any difference between the $95.00 pre-payment and the final charge for the service provided will be billed or refunded to the patient as appropriate.
