In May of 2010, Springfield Clinic launched construction of a new medical office building in Jacksonville. The facility, located at 1000 W. Morton Avenue, is the new home for Springfield Clinic Prompt Care Jacksonville, a no-appointment, walk-in medical clinic.
Prompt Care Jacksonville’s office accommodations will include a spacious and comfortable patient waiting area, six exam rooms, a lab, digital x-ray, and physician and business offices. Approximately one-third of the building’s total area has been reserved for future expansion.
The Chief Operating Officer at Springfield Clinic, is responsible for the construction and launch of the new service line in Jacksonville. “We believe the Morton Avenue property is an ideal setting for Prompt Care services. Its central location on one of the community’s main thoroughfares will make it extremely easy for patients to access."
The building, formerly occupied by Advanced Auto Parts, will undergo extensive renovation this summer to accommodate the needs of the medical practice. The current structure, an open 7,000 square foot single story building, will require plumbing, framing and drywall to build out the interior. Harold O’Shea Builders of Springfield is the general contractor on the project.
Following an Open House Event on September 3, the new Springfield Clinic Prompt Care Jacksonville opened for business September 6th.
