For many years, the physicians of Christian County Medical Clinic (CCMC) and Taylorville Medical Associates (TMA) served the health care needs of the Taylorville community. Both medical groups eventually merged into the Springfield Clinic network, but continued to practice from their individual locations. Aging facilities and the desire to unite the groups in a single facility prompted the planning of a new medical office building near Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

The construction project was launched in June of 2008 with an official groundbreaking ceremony. Favorable weather conditions allowed the project to stay on target and by the late summer of 2009, Springfield Clinic Taylorville was in operation. A formal dedication ceremony and public open house was held on Sunday, November 1, 2009.

Springfield Clinic Taylorville houses the entire Taylorville medical team and includes ample space for a robust Specialty Outreach Program. The facility's architecture and interior design provide comfortable, convenient and attractive surroundings for patients, physicians and employees. Springfield Clinic Taylorville's services include lab, X-ray and an independently owned and operated pharmacy.
